When you apply on our website, an agent will get a notification with your information and call you to verify your application details.

Upon submitting an order online you will receive a confirmation email with the list of requirements which is needed to process your application, carefully follow the instructions and contact us for any questions.

Once confirmed by an expert you can mail in or walk into our office location to submit your documents.

When your visa is ready you can pick it up at our office or we can ship it you for a minimal fee.

Requirements for Application

Passport

Visas are stamped into a passport; therefore the original passport is required to be submitted. 

At least 6 months validity is required. 

The passport must have at least 2 blank pages.

WHERE YOU STAY FORM

Applicant must complete the where you stay form.

Proof of Residency

Applicant must submit a legible color copy of their driver’s license or state issued ID. At this time, no other proof of residency will be accepted.

Previous Chinese Visa Applicants

For applicants who have previously held Chinese visas, the Embassy and consulate offices require submission of previous visas.

If the previous visa is in the current passport there is no action required.

VISA APPLICATION

Applicants must complete the online China Visa application.

WORK IN MEDIA

The consulate of China in New York requires that any applicant who works in the media or for a media company (regardless of your actual job within the organization) to appear in person to submit their application for a visa. As such we cannot assist any applicants who work in the media industry in any capacity.

INVITATION LETTER

Applicant must submit a Letter of incitation from the inviting party or organization in China. The invitation letter must be issued by a Chinese Company, corporation, institution, or the Government.

The letter must contact a company stamp, referred to in China as a “chop” (this is generally a red circle or oval stamp applied by a government agent, although some private companies may have their own stamps) as well as the following information:

  • Personal information of the applicant including: Full name, gender, date of birth , Passport number, Employer and position.
  • Information concerning applicant’s visit to China: Purpose of visit, date of arrival and departure, paces to visit, relationship between applicant and inviter, and who will bear the cost of the applicant’s accommodations in China.
  • Information of the inviter: Name of unit, phone number, address, and signature of the legal representative.
  • Invitation letter can be submitted as a photocopy, however original invitation and/or personal interview may be requested at the visa officer’s discretion.

Photo Requirement

Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs. The photos  generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.

Photo requirements as provided by the Chinese Embassy:

  • Photo must have a plain white background.
  • Photo must be printed on photo paper.
  • Photo should not show the applicant wearing glasses.
  • Photo should not show the applicant wearing jewelry.
  • The applicant must have a neutral, not smiling expression.
  • Must have been taken within past 6 months.————-

Former Chinese Nationals

If applicant is former Chinese or Taiwanese citizen, applicant must submit previous Chinese passport or proof of previously issued Chinese Visa.

Citizens of Taiwan may encounter significant difficulty securing a visa.

If applicant previously held Hong Kong citizenship, applicant must appear in person to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate office nearest them.

Business Cover Letter

Applicants must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a US company. The BCL must be a Signed document on company letterhead indicating the date, duration and purpose of travel, list a contact and address at the host company, and observe moral and financial responsibility for the applicant.

A photocopy of the signed letter is acceptable.

The letter must be addressed to “The consulate General of China“ as opposed to using the term “Embassy”
